Before you start
- A Prepit merchant account with access to at least one restaurant chain: the account you use for the Prepit portal. Not a Prepit customer yet?
- An AI assistant that supports connectors (remote MCP servers with sign-in), such as Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok, Muse, GitHub Copilot or Cursor. Some assistants offer connectors only on paid plans.
Connect your assistant
Server URL
https://mcp.prepit.app

Try asking
- “Which of my branches are paused right now?”
- “Show me the Burgers category and what the Classic Burger costs at each branch.”
- “Raise the large Classic Burger to 185 EGP at the Maadi and Zamalek branches.”
- “Turn off Mango Juice at every branch until further notice.”
- “Pause the Nasr City branch, we're closing early today.”
- “Add Truffle Fries at 95 EGP to the Sides category.”
- “Move the Desserts category to the end of the menu.”
How changes are confirmed
- 1
Ask
Describe the change in your own words.
- 2
Preview
Your assistant asks Prepit for a preview and shows you exactly what will change, before anything is saved.
- 3
Confirm
Say yes, or confirm in the form your app shows. If you say no, nothing changes.
- 4
Saved
Prepit saves the change, the same way as a change made in the Prepit portal.
Some apps also ask you to approve each action before your assistant contacts Prepit. That's your app's own safety check and is separate from Prepit's preview.
Access and security
- Your assistant can do only what your Prepit role already allows in the Prepit portal, and only with the permissions you approved.
- It reaches only the restaurant chains you manage. Your account owner controls your role and page access.
- Access uses short-lived tokens issued by Prepit's sign-in service. Your Prepit password is never shared with the assistant.
- Changes are saved to your account exactly like changes made in the portal, and each request is recorded so you can ask who changed what.
Your data
- Prepit never receives your conversation with the assistant. It receives only the action you asked for and its details, such as an item and a new price.
- Prepit sends back the menu and branch information needed to answer you. Once your assistant has it, the assistant's provider handles it under its own privacy policy.
- For each request, Prepit keeps an activity record: who made it, which chain, which action, whether it was a preview or a change, and the result. Request details are stored only as a one-way fingerprint. Records are deleted after 12 months.
- Read the details in the AI assistants section of our privacy policy.
Disconnect
Troubleshooting
The assistant says a chain or page is “Not available”.
Your Prepit account doesn't have access to that chain or page. Ask your account owner to give you access in the Prepit portal, then try again.
The assistant says it “needs permission to change”.
You connected without allowing changes. Disconnect Prepit in your assistant, connect again and allow Change your menu or Pause and resume branches.
Sign-in keeps asking me to log in again.
Make sure you sign in with your Prepit merchant account, the same one you use for the Prepit portal. If it still fails, disconnect and connect again.
My change was undone later.
If your menu is synced from your POS, the next POS sync can overwrite changes made through your assistant. Make those changes in your POS instead.
The assistant can't find an item I know exists.
Searches return a limited number of matches. Use a more specific name, or name the category or branch it is in.
Can my assistant delete things or take orders and payments?
No. It can't delete anything, and it can't see or change orders, customers or payments. To remove something from your menu, ask it to hide it instead.
